The dictionary defines syzygy as the position of an object when it is in line with other objects. It is then “at syzygy”.

We work to create alignments of partners based on participation by target groups and ownership by the stakeholders.

OUR LOGO

The leaf in our logo is from the water pear, Syzygium guineense, a tree of the myrtle family that is found along streams in African dry savannas. The example used was collected by Piet Wit during a mission to Nigeria. We have used the veins of the leaf to form a planetary network.

Global Network

The design symbolises our global network of partner institutes and independent experts which we use to enhance our in-house expertise.

Ecological Networks

One of our most prominent activities is the development of ecological networks - interconnected systems of natural and semi-natural landscape elements that facilitate both ecological viability and the sustainable use of natural resources.
